To apply for a Tuckwell Scholarship to begin studies at ANU in 2024, applicants must:


  • Be eligible to apply to ANU using the ANU Direct Application method in 2024.
  • In 2023, start and finish Year 12 full-time at an Australian school.
  • Be 17, 18, or 19 years old on February 19, 2024 (born on or between February 20, 2004 and February 19, 2007), the start date of Semester 1, 2024.
  • Be an Australian citizen, Permanent Resident, or holder of an Australian humanitarian visa, and have the requisite Birth Certificate, Citizenship Certificate, or Visa before May 22, 2023, the deadline for Stage 2 applications this year.
  • You must attain an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of 95 or better. 
  • Applicants who are eligible for consideration under the Educational Access Scheme (EAS) and are anticipated by their school to achieve an ATAR of 90 or higher may apply for a Tuckwell Scholarship.
  • Having completed at least one high school English course/unit during at least one semester of Year 11 or Year 12, and at least one high school Maths course/unit during at least one semester of Year 11 or Year 12.




Applicants for the Tuckwell Scholarship Programme at ANU must submit the following documents:


  • Form for ANU Direct Application.
  • Stage 1 Application Form for the Tuckwell Scholarship.
  • Academic records for Years 11 and 12.
  • A birth certificate, a citizenship certificate, or a visa.
  • CV stands for curriculum vitae.
  • Personal Statement well written.
  • Reference letter from the applicant’s current school’s principal.
  • Scholars must begin their undergraduate studies at ANU in Semester 1 of 2024.
  • Scholars must follow the Tuckwell Scholarship Terms and Conditions, as changed from time to time, for the life of their Scholarship.

In order to submit an application for a Tuckwell Scholarship to begin studies at ANU in 2024, you are required to: Complete and submit the ANU Direct Application as quickly as you can and before the due in April 2023 AND.
