Any full-time postgraduate degree at the University of Oxford is open to Rhodes Scholars, subject to certain limitations.

Value, components, and length of scholarship:

All University and College fees, a living allowance of £17,310 per year (2021–2022), a settling-in allowance, health insurance, a visa, and two economy class flights to and from the UK are all covered by a Rhodes Scholarship. These flights are taken at the start and end of the student’s time at Oxford.

The scholarship has a two-year basic term that is always contingent upon satisfactory academic progress and behavior.

Eligibility:

For the Rhodes Scholarships, all applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Citizenship and residence criteria:

Every applicant must meet the citizenship and residency requirements of the Rhodes constituency for which they are applying.

• Age:

As of October 1, 2022, you must be at least 18 years old and under 25 years old (i.e. you must have been born after 1 October 1997 and on or before 1 October 2004)

OR (for older candidates who completed their first undergraduate degree later than usual)

If you were born after October 1, 1995, you must not be older than 27 on October 1, 2022, And you must have fulfilled or be on track to complete the academic requirements for your first degree by July 1, 2021, or later.

• Education:

All applicants must have academic standing that is advanced enough to guarantee completion of a bachelor’s degree by the October after the election. Academic status must be good enough to guarantee entrance to Oxford University, which has extremely strict entry requirements, and to inspire confidence in Rhodes Scholars’ ability to achieve high academic standards while attending Oxford. Each constituency may designate a first or an equivalent. Some seats demand that applicants have completed their undergraduate studies in the constituency in which they are applying.
