Ned Mcwherter Scholarship – Apply or Renew Your Free Study

Ned Mcwherter Scholarship

Ned Mcwherter Scholarship is for a total of $6,000 per academic year, with the State of Tennessee contributing $3,000 and the recipient’s college or university contributing the remaining $3,000. The institutional match can be a campus-based award that is already part of the student’s financial aid package as long as the award does not require the student to complete any sort of work requirement.

Throughout the course of the academic year, awards are distributed proportionally across each term. The competition for awards is quite fierce, and the amount of money available is restricted.

The duration of the award can be extended by a total of one more year if it is renewed. For the recipient to continue to be eligible, they need to keep their cumulative grade point average at or above 3.0 and attend school full-time.
