Through the Lockheed Martin International Scholarship Program, Lockheed Martin’s non-U.S. employees can pursue studies leading to a baccalaureate degree (equivalent to a first university degree).

 

This program is available to the children of Lockheed Martin employees who are employed full-time outside of the United States. 

 

Employees must have been in active service at Lockheed Martin for at least two years as of January 1st of the award year to be eligible. 

 

Disabled, retired, or deceased employees’ children are also eligible. The disabled employee must have been a full-time employee for two years before he or she was disabled. 

 

For the deceased employee to be eligible for the award, he or she must have been deceased for a period of no more than two years prior to January 1st of the award year.

 

What is the Lockheed Martin Scholarship?

 

The Lockheed Martin Scholarship Program annually provides children of Lockheed Martin’s non-US employees with the opportunity to pursue studies leading to a first university degree (equivalent to the baccalaureate degree in the United States).

 

Lockheed Martin will invest nearly $8 million in two scholarship programs in 2022 in order to increase networks of opportunity, close skill gaps, and prepare the next generation for the future of work.

 

Lockheed Martin is offering a four-year Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) scholarship program for the fourth year in a row. Nearly 600 students have benefited from this program, who are majoring in engineering or computer science, have financial needs, and come from underrepresented or underserved communities.

 

What are the benefits?

 

  • The Lockheed Martin Scholarship Program provides a $8,000 award to college students and recent graduates who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership potential and an interest in pursuing a career in the STEM fields.  
  • The scholarship is renewable and can be used at any accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational school in the United States.

Eligibility for the Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship:

 

Do you currently attend or plan to attend an L.5. 4-year college or full-time university?

Are you pursuing or planning to pursue a STEM-related degree?

 

Then you can apply for Lockheed Martin’s STEM Scholarship! 

 

This scholarship is open to high school seniors and undergraduate students who plan to major in engineering, computer science, math, or physics, have financial need and are from a low-income family, Communities that are underrepresented or underserved

 

This year, the program will award up to 200 scholarships worth a total of $10,000 in renewable funds per student.

 

Eligibility for the Lockheed Martin Vocational Scholarship 

All eligibility requirements for the Lockheed Martin Vocational Scholarship Program must be met. Candidates must:

 

  • Be a citizen of the United States.
  • Either be a senior in high school or a recent graduate (or GED equivalent).
  • Have not graduated with a bachelor’s degree before the academic year 2022–2023.
  • Be enrolled or intend to enroll part- or full-time in a vocational-technical school, trade school, two-year community college, or state college, all of which are approved schools.
  • Be working toward an associate’s degree, a certificate that can be used to earn credits or a credential that is recognized by the business in one of the fields of study listed below, with an expected completion date between December 2022 and June 2025.

 

This year, the program will award up to 150 $5,000 scholarships per student.

Lockheed Martin Scholarship Selection Criteria

 

Academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of career and educational goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal are all factors in scholarship selection.

 

Applicants who self-identify as members of traditionally underrepresented groups in STEM careers, such as women, racial and ethnic minorities, people with disabilities (as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act), and LGBTQ people, will be given special consideration. 

 

Individuals who are or will be first-generation college students; US military Active Duty, including Reserves and National Guard; US military Veteran, including Reserves and National Guard; Spouse of a US military Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard, or Veteran.

 

Scholarship America chooses the winners; no employee or worker of Lockheed Martin is ever involved in the decision-making process. All candidates concur in accepting the judgment as final.
