League Foundation LGBTQ Scholarship: How to Apply

League Foundation LGBTQ Scholarship

In a world that is becoming increasingly inclusive and accepting, scholarships like the League Foundation LGBTQ Scholarship play a vital role in supporting the dreams of LGBTQ students.

The League Foundation is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1996 to support the education and well-being of LGBTQ+ youth. The foundation offers a variety of programs and services, including scholarships, mentoring, and leadership development opportunities.

This blog post is your complete guide to understanding, applying for, and excelling in the League Foundation LGBTQ Scholarship for the 2023/2024 academic year.

About League Foundation LGBTQ Scholarship

The League Foundation LGBTQ Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship that is offered to graduating high school seniors who identify as members of the LGBTQ+ community. Eligible students must be outspoken supporters of the LGBTQ+ community. The scholarship can be used to help pay for tuition, fees, books, and other expenses at an approved college or university in the United States or Canada. The amount of the scholarship is up to $5,000, and it can be used in either country.

Because the high school dropout rate for LGBTQ kids is one of the highest coupled with the highest number of suicides while in high school, the scholarship program’s focus is currently on graduating high school students moving directly into higher education.

This is because the high school dropout rate for LGBTQ students is one of the highest. If a student is able to successfully transition from high school to college, the likelihood of that student committing suicide or dropping out of college is significantly lower, according to the statistics.

The LEAGUE Foundation is a non-profit organization that gives financial assistance to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) high school seniors in the United States who are about to begin their studies at colleges or universities.
